Hysteria Fest: Growing Bigger and Better Each Year
Hysteria Fest launched in 2022 with what we called “Year Zero,” a market test of a horror festival in St. Louis. The response was overwhelming, and all screenings sold out months before the festival.
2023 Success and 2024 Explosion
In 2023, Hysteria Fest opened up submissions to filmmakers, welcoming the best horror films from all subgenres and types. The festival was a tremendous success, with an incredible lineup of films and enthusiastic attendance.
A Global Focus
Our goal each year is to focus on a different country, continent, or region, showcasing its unique horror cinema. In between films from the focal area, we play the best films currently on the festival circuit. In 2023, we highlighted the French Extremity Movement. In 2024, it was Scandinavian horror, and in 2025, it will be Canadian horror.
Looking Forward to 2025
2024 saw an explosion in submissions and attendance, taking the festival to new heights. We are excited to continue this momentum into 2025, aiming to grow even bigger and better. Hysteria Fest is run by people passionate about horror, especially films that push the envelope. We eagerly anticipate what filmmakers will bring to our screens.
